Driving by a local lake, I spotted this one lone Common Loon. We don't see them too often and I was excited to see this one. It was out quite far, and the water was really rough due to the high winds. I'm actually surprised I got anything at all. I think it might be a non-breeding adult.

The Red-bellied woodpeckers are still
hanging around. This is the male and he comes to the feeders every day, and will chase all the other birds away.

I was fortunate to photograph an Eagles nest this past week, although I couldn't get as close as I would have liked to. It was a very cold and windy day, and I had to walk about 1/4 mile through a wet bumpy hay field. I think you can see the chick in the nest in front of the parent Eagle.

Back at home a pair of Mourning doves decide whether they want this piece of material for their nest.

A male Goldfinch and a male Purple finch sit on top of my weather station discussing all the rain we've been having lately and if they should move South!.

A wet and stormy night. Lots of lightning and thunder. In the past 4 days we have gotten 4" of rain and the creek is very high and running fast.
A Happy and Blessed Easter to all. Have a wonderful day.
