Sunny Wednesday

On a cold, rainy, foggy morning we ventured out to see how the Bald Eagle's were doing. I only saw one youngster, and he wouldn't turn to face me. This morning there were several Silvery Crescentspot ( at least I think it is ) flying around our driveway.

The only decent Great Horned Owlet picture I got Monday. It just wasn't to be I guess. This guy turned away, and I never saw the parents.

Watery Wednesday

Taking a ride to the Peninsula on Lake Erie to get pictures of the nesting Owl, I spotted a trio of Slider turtles basking in the afternoon sun on this old log.

I don't know if there are any chicks yet, and I couldn't get very close either because of the danger of these Owls attacking. We had gone yesterday morning, but the light just wasn't right, and we went back tonight before sunset.
