World Bird Wednesday

This is my first post on this meme, and I just had to put in a couple pictures of the juvenile Red-tailed Hawk I saw Monday near the road possibly eating on a Crow. He really was more interested in his meal, than the photographer.

Those beady little eyes say it all. "Move on lady"

We found another mama Canada goose, and this one isn't too happy either. This one was alone. I didn't see the mate.

Now, back at the mystery nest. I can see a head of something, but still can't make it out.. The land is posted, so I can't get any closer. All of a sudden I spied this Red Tailed Hawk in a tree not too far from the nest.

Then it turned so we could see the front. This bird is quite far away. I even tried binoculars on the nest, but still can't make it out, but I'm sure now it's this hawk's nest.

Male Purple Finch. They are so colorful now.

This male House Sparrow is guarding my Bluebird house. I hate to tell him, he isn't staying...LOL

We had snow showers today, along with rain, and sun. The forecasters are predicting great weather for this week-end. I can't wait!

It was a beautiful day Friday, and we took a ride to enjoy the sun. I took lots of pictures, but for some reason I can't get them loaded into Picasa. I will try tomorrow again.
Anyway this was taken Thursday afternoon. A Red Tailed hawk came out of nowhere. He is beautiful, and landed in a tree not far away, but the sun was shining on the camera, and I couldn't find him on the screen, when all of a sudden he flew away. These are the only 2 pictures I got of him.

A couple old barns that are neat.
