Happy Thanksgiving

I just wanted to wish everyone a very and safe Happy Thanksgiving.

This morning my barn cat Azrael spied a Sparrow eating some seed that I had put in the sun dial.

She circled around for at least 10 minutes, hoping for the right moment for an ambush.

But, it wasn't to be, she waited too long, and the Sparrow flew away.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I return to this place for Thanksgiving,
Hills created with scarlet and gold...
And hear whispered from treetop to treetop
The nostalgic memories they hold.

I bow now in prayerful remembrance
And thank thee O God, for this day...
For these friends who embrace me so warmly
For these hills in their autumn array.
