World Bird Wednesday

We did have some snow last weekend, and my birds did return. I always have lots of Mourning doves, and they are such fun to watch. This one just sat on the hook and looked so cold.
The snow has almost disappeared and tomorrow the temps are predicted to get up to 60 deg. I surely will welcome that!

Tuesday

It's Tuesday again, and I really didn't have anything to post so I looked back in my archives and found this shot I took last year of the creek behind our house in the summer. It is so peaceful and a beautiful place to walk. We have a short trail along this creek.
Happy Tuesday, and have a great rest of the week.

Macro Monday

I'm not sure why I took these shots, but it's Macro Monday, and I saw these bubbles in the sink, and they caught my eye., so here they are. I'm always looking for reflections, but I don't really see anything specific.
Happy Monday, and click on over to http://lisaschaos.com to see more close-ups.

Sunday

I'm late and I don't have much to offer for today. The weather has been crazy again with high winds, rain, snow and the only weather we didn't get was the tornado activity, thank goodness.
Coming home from a trip to the lake, I happened to see a field of sheep and this cute donkey.
Back at Lake Erie I found some Red-breasted Mergansers. You can tell it was a windy day..
There were lots of gulls flying around and gave me some practice on my in flight shots.
Have a wonderful up-coming week.

Weekend Reflections

Here it is the weekend already, and I have to wonder where the week went... I'm back photographing reflections in water too. We live near quite a few bodies of water, and it's difficult to drive anyplace around here without seeing water reflections. Now do click on over to http://weekendreflection.blogspot.com to see lots more reflections.

Skywatch Friday

This was the scene, just 2 days ago near home, and I see this on my walk with our dog Tauqua. It was a beautiful day for a walk, and then the next day back to gloom and doom. Rail/snow all day today, and tomorrow we're in store for high winds. What crazy weather...

Another gloomy, cold, foggy Thursday

This is a shot of the local ski resort. Even with the lack of snow, the night temps have been cold enough that they could make their own snow.
Lots of fog today, and a high temp of 45 deg.
Taking a ride this afternoon looking for something to take pictures of. This is one of the nice condos clear up top of the ski resort.
On the way back down from the hill, I spied this Cooper's hawk. It was looking at something on the ground, and eventually dropped down to what ever it was, but try as I might I couldn't get any good shots because of all the weeds.
Back at home, this is the one and only Pine Siskin I have, and to think a couple years ago I had 100's.
Have a great rest of the week.
