It's Thursday

It's Thursday morning, and I really don't have too much to post.
This is my lemon tree I bought a few months ago, and it presently has 6 very nice lemons on it. I kept it in the greenhouse till the weather outside was warm enough, and now it's been in the sun daily and I'm trying to be patient till they get yellow. Two of the lemons are bigger than the ones you see in the markets. Before the lemons formed this plant had at least 500 blossoms that had the most delightful scent.

Another sign that Fall is now FAST approaching , the Goldenrod is blooming, and it is everywhere. Too bad there isn't some way a person could make money with it...
Yesterday I found a Monarch chrysalis on a Goldenrod plant, but something had bored a small hole in the side of it, and killed the larva, :~(

Last evening at sunset, I saw this sundog in the Western skies.
Sundogs may appear as a colored patch of light to the left or right of the sun, 22° distant and at the same distance above the horizon as the sun, and in ice halos. They can be seen anywhere in the world during any season, but they are not always obvious or bright. Sundogs are best seen and are most conspicuous when the sun is low.
Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Skywatch Friday

Earlier this week just about sunset, I was out walking the dog and spotted this Sundog in the Western sky not far from our house. There is color on both sides, but it didn't show up all that good.
Also you can see the halo around the sun.
Happy Skywatch, and thanks to all for this meme.

Skywatch Friday

Last week one evening around 5PM, this Sundog appeared in the Southwest sky. A Sundog is an atmospheric phenomenon that creates bright spots of light in the sky. Sundogs may appear as a colored patch of light to the left or the right of the sun. They can be seen any where in the world, during any season, but they are not always bright or obvious. Sundogs are best seen and are most conspicuous when the sun is low either morning or evening.
