Another beautiful day

It was just a gorgeous day. A wee bit too warm for this time of the year, but after the long winter the warm weather is most welcome.
This tree with the white flowers are numerous on our property, but I don't know what they are. I took this shot from inside the house, and I really thought the window was cleaner, and I see there is a spider web attached to the feeder. Mrs. Ruby throated hummingbird pauses from her lunch..
It's time for the wild Phlox too.

This my orange Azalea. It is especially nice this spring.

Now here is a pink Rhododendron. It also is just beautiful this year.

I followed the bumble bee for quite a while, and he was moving too fast for a good shot. Take a look at all the pollen he is carrying.

This cute little Wood toad was on the trail, and I nearly stepped on him.

Another good day in store for tomorrow. It's time to ready the gardens. I picked up all the veggie plants we'll need this afternoon, and 4 hanging flower baskets.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.

More Just Stuff

This first 3 pictures are for Joan. I'm not exactly a "bug" lady, but I wanted to show our granddaughters what a Katydid looked like, and to tell them they don't bite.
This guy was most cooperative, and here he is manicuring one of his toes.

Next a closeup of the face. Looks like something from a SiFi movie...

We've had lots of rain lately and there are water drops on the "berries" which are on the fronds of my Asparagus ferns. They will soon be turning red.

This is Oscar. He is a gorgeous cat, and belongs to our neighbors. He is also spying on my birds in this shot. He is more than welcome to come over here anytime to keep any mice in check, although Azrael doesn't think the same as I do. LOL. Most of the birds get away. Oscar has light blue eyes, not really seen in this picture.
On Monday I posted a Wood frog. Here not 5 feet away from that frog was this Wood Toad, only about 1" across.

On my daily walks with dog I see lots of these miniature Queen Anne's Lace. They are less than 2", and only about 6"-8" high.
OK, enough for today. I trust you are all having a great one. I'll be canning tomatoes, freezing beans, and making something from zucchini. Most likely relish, but the possibilities are endless.

FOR THE BIRDS, and toad and woodchuck, and turtle.

What a beautiful day. Temps in the 80's, and sunny most of the day.
On my walk with the dog last evening, we always have to stop along the way and check out the Groundhog holes. All of a sudden one popped out of his burrow. Check out the teeth on this dude. I think he needs to see a dentist!
On the creek trail I found this American Toad.

We also saw this cute Painted Turtle soaking up the sun.
Back home the Nuthatch paid us a visit.
Mr. Hairy Woodpecker is licking the peanut butter .

This shot of a male Goldfinch was taken last week during a hail storm with lots of thunder.
Mr. Downey woodpecker at the suet.
Bottoms up for this Pine Siskin.

This is the Mrs. Purple Finch.
The past few days it has been so windy here, and this Ringed Sea gull sure had it's feathers ruffled.
Last but not least is this male Red- Breasted Merganser. We saw several on a trip to Lake Erie. This duck is a new one for me, and this is as close as I could get.
