Friday's Fences

Riding around this afternoon, I was disappointed to see this once beautiful fence had gone down hill so bad. I remember several years ago, this fence which covers many acres and held beautiful horses, is now in shambles. The house and barn are in need of big time help too, and in my younger days I would have loved to take on a project to make it gorgeous again.
To see lots more fences, just click on http://lifeaccordingtojanandjer.blogspot.com to see lots more, and a big thank you to Jan for this cool meme.

It is sad - all the work and materials that went into making it! It is a nice shot, though!

it doesn't take long for wood to go downhill, for sure.

Looks so sad. White fences look so good but sure take the upkeep. Down at the coast there was a horse farm with lovely white fences too. As I would drive up this one hill it was what you saw as you rounded the corner. That place too, went down hill, perhaps bought out ... used for another purpose.

Yes, it does need a bit of refurbishment.

Someone's dream went up in smoke. A very forlorn fence.

Even falling down, it has a nice photos quality. Maybe they will fix it in nicer weather.

So sad to see. Has the farm been abandoned?

It is always so sad when things that were once so lovely fall into disrepair, like old houses and barns, and this fence. It makes you wonder why the owners couldn't keep them up, and when you think about the possible reasons, it makes you sad!
