Sunday

We're due a frost tonight, and I managed to get this shot of the last for sure rose.

I always carry my camera with me when I mow grass, and I was lucky enough to capture this poor Fritillary butterfly. It really is tattered.

In a neighboring town these 100's of Canada geese spend most of the day resting and later will descend on the local corn fields.

I've never seen so many geese in one spot before. I also noticed some Snow geese, and a lone Merganser, but didn't get very good shots. I'll go back tomorrow, and try again if they are there.
As I mentioned a frost is predicted for tonight. The Butternut squash is picked along with all the tomatoes, and all the flowers put into the garage.

Ruby Tuesday

Here is my Ruby Tuesday. This Rose I bought 2 years ago at Wal-Mart. It's one of the miniatures, and does very well outside.

Poppies, Roses, and Bees

I have several light pink Poppies that are blooming, and I thought I'd better take shots of them now since it is supposed to rain tomorrow, and rain will destroy these fragile flowers. A look at the inside.

I'm not sure what this color will be. Maybe red, maybe orange.

This is the most fragrant Rose. I just love it.

This tiny little Bee was so busy. I got lots of pictures of him as he worked and worked around this flower.

His pollen baskets were getting really full by now, but he just kept working.

MACRO MONDAY

It's Macro Monday and this is a tiny mini rose I bought recently trying to get into the mood of Spring. It's sitting in my front window and the sun covered part of the flower. I thought it was neat.
