World Bird Wednesday

The first day this week when the sun finally made an appearance, we took to the road and checked out the Eagles nest about 10 miles from here. No activity yet, but on the way home I spotted 3 Red-tailed hawks. 2 of them flew away and the 3rd one turned his back to me so all that was showing was his magnificent red tail. Click on over to http://pineriverreview.blogspot.com/ to see lots more birds.

Hey, everybody shows him from the front so it is great to see the other side as well.

Haf a very long but successful day to day. Got a $22.00 parking fine but no matter. We both went to have our eyes examined and new glasses organised and did some fun shopping as well. I had to do all the driving though.

Hope the natives are not too restless in your camp.

Blessings . . . Arija

What a beautiful bird! Your picture certainly shows how he got his name!

it's always nice when a hawk actually decides not to take off -- great to see its namesake in your shot!

Nice shot! You better get your shots fast with RTHawks, they don't hang around long for second chances. Good job catching this one!
