Barn Charm
| I happened to see this adorable barn in our travels today. The house that goes with it is an antique brick house built somewhat like a schoolhouse. I really wanted a picture of that too, but would have had to stop right in front and get out of the van. Didn't want to do this. If we drive by again, maybe I can take the picture from the other way. Happy Tuesday. It's been beautiful here, but a little cool. I love it!! Click on over to http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see lots more charming barns. |

| Barn Charm 100, and I have passed this little barn many times. On this day I got to stop, and this really is the only place to get a fairly good shot. There are just too many trees. It's a real cutie, and houses 2 horses. Notice the flower box under the window. Each window has one. Have a good rest of the week, and click on http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see more barns.. |

| Last summer we took a vacation and drove through central Pennsylvania and along a road that had many Amish farms. This is one of them, and what I didn't show in this shot is that in the yard next to that red building on the right they must have been getting ready for an auction. There were at least 30-40 pieces of iron farm equipment all in a line. I've looked for the picture I took of all the equipment but so far haven't found it. | It's time for Barn Charm, and this barn just sits there. I don't know what it is used for, but nothing ever changes. It sits not far from the road either, and the house that goes with it is fairly modern. Anyway we pass it quite frequently and I just like old barn wood. Once again I'm wondering what animals used to call it home. Happy Tuesday to everyone, and do click over to http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see more barns. |

| I took lots of pictures, and stayed quite a while just looking at it, and admiring the architecture. So many bricks.. |
| The age is 1879, and this barn has held up very well, and maybe it's been sandblasted a time or two. |
| Looking at the big picture you can see more out buildings. |
| This most likely is the owners house, and looks it's age. Happy Tuesday everyone, and if you click on over to http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see lots more barn shots. |

| On a recent ride to Avonia, Pennsylvania, close to Lake Erie. I just had to stop and take a picture of this old barn. I remember it from a long time ago, but unfortunately I can't find any info on it. I do remember some years ago it burned to the ground, possibly by arsonists, it was rebuilt and this is exactly how it used to look. There is a large nursery in the area, and I think they actually own the barn. On two sides is a mural painted, and advertises Koehler beer. Koehler beer is famous in Erie, Pennsylvania, and the history goes back into the 1800's.. The ornate brewery ( and it was a beautiful piece of architecture, in early modernism ) closed in 1978 and has been torn down and continues to be an empty lot. Anyway the lettering on the advertisement used to say Pour a Koehler Collar, and beneath the Koehler name is the word Beer. Sorry I got carried away... | Here is a 2-fer... There is a riding stable we pass on our way to watch trains. They have at least 30 horses, many ponies, miniature donkeys, goats, geese, ducks, llamas, and who knows what else. |
| Another view. |
| A couple of the donkeys. Each time we pass by we see something new. Click on over to http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com and see more barn. |

| It's Tuesday and time for Barn Charm. This wonderful old timer is just up the road from us, and although it no longer houses cows the owners have kept it in fairly good shape. I really like the silos too.. happy Tuesday, and click on http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com to see lots more delightful barns. |

| Around our area you will find some very nice barns, but sadly there are all too many in this condition too. The older farms are disappearing and nobody wants to restore them. While driving past this barn a few years ago, I noticed a lone domestic goose wandering out in the fields near the barn. I stopped to take a picture, and he wattled right over to our van. I wondered if the owners moved out and left him behind, but as I approached he wouldn't let me get close. Have a happy Tuesday and click on http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com |

| This is a newer barn on a dirt road not too far from our home. I watched them build it occasionally in the past two years, when we drove by, and at first I thought it was a home, but if you look in the front door, you'll see an empty hay wagon. No pasture near by, and no animals to be seen. Not sure what is going on here. Maybe they ran out of money. To see more barns, click on http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com/ |

| Now, I'm not sure what was kept in this little barn but I bet it was miniature judging by that small size, but whatever it was must have had a BIG appetite. LOL. That silo will hold alot! This is about 3 miles from our home, and it never looks any different. I took this picture last week after we had a 8" snow storm the night before.
